Some microbes make us sick, others are important for our health. The most common types are bacteria and viruses.
It is called ‘antimicrobial copper’ due to the antimicrobial power created naturally with a copper content of 60% or above.
It can effectively prevent infectious diseases and cross infections by acting on germs and viruses as well as being natural, strong, non-toxic and human-friendly.
Antimicrobial Copper is the only touch surface material registered with the US Environmental Protection Agency, which kills more than 99.9% of bacteria. Copper alloys containing more than 60% copper, are natural antimicrobial agents and are very effective in preventing cross-contamination of infectious diseases.
In a study conducted by Southampton University researchers, human coronavirus 229E was rapidly inactivated on a range of copper alloys.
